Zoe-perry

Perry is she is Chicago native, born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mom. The actress did not go on to explore acting as a profession until after she had reached adulthood because her parents were concerned about the adverse effects that stress could be a cause of. Perry admitted that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school. She began acting to connect with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry made her debut in New York after graduation, performing in minor role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry come back to California and find work as a stage actress. The Other Place was performed by her and her mother on Broadway in 2013 In 2015 she performed alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played nine roles in The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. The actress also portrayed in the role of a young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The character was chosen by auditions, even the fact that she had a deep connection with it.
