The biopic was inspired by the life of physicist Stephen Hawking, and Jones was adored by both the public and reviewers for her superb performance as Hawking's wife. In the year 2016 The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles named Jones as the British Artist of The Year because of her talents and contribution to cinema.
